You do not need any special skills to volunteer. All we ask is that you love Jesus and love kids. You can make a difference in a child's life by simply being a friend. You can help serve the food, help monitor the game time, help with the clean-up afterward, help with the discipline, help move the children from one activity to another, help lead singing, do counseling, teach or assist a teacher or use whatever abilities God has given you.
2. Do volunteers need to be there every week?
No. Some of our volunteers come once a month. If you have a busy schedule, you can come at your convenience. However, we do ask for more of a commitment from those who teach the Bible study classes.
3. How can my church or Sunday School class help with the meals?
Each week a different church prepares the meals for the children. Some of the churches do this on a regular schedule, while others only serve occasionally. You should pray about how God wants you to serve and then contact Pastor Dave to be placed on the schedule.
4. How can I donate to the ministry?
Checks can me made payable to Midtown Ministries and sent to Midtown Ministries, c/o York Baptist Association,
434 Museum Road, Rock Hill, S. C. 29732. Your donations are tax deductible.
5. Is anyone available to speak at my church about the ministry?
We do have people available to speak to your church about Midtown Ministries and would also be glad to teach your congregation how to get a similar ministry started in an apratment community near you.
